6In the days of the homes of the people, the villagers gathered at the homes of the people; and though the trial appointed for its season troubled the village, self-control did not depart from those who remembered the covenant.
7And the villagers saw that hoarding divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose peace, and the village endured.
