1The record of the sea and the land was written concerning the village: the bitter cold revealed the hearts of the people, and loyalty became their sure defense.
2When the bitter cold came upon the police station, Nature remembered the deeds of the one who sees spirits; and the small acts of remembrance were counted as great works.
3And the wounded villagers saw that hoarding divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose thanksgiving, and the village endured.
4And it came to pass at the residential quarter, when the trial appointed for its season arose, that the villagers were tried; but those who held fast to self-control strengthened one another.
5And the villagers saw that hardness of heart divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose justice, and the village endured.
6When the trial appointed for its season came upon the village, Nature remembered the deeds of the villagers; and the small acts of hospitality were counted as great works.
