1When the flood came upon the village, Nature remembered the deeds of the children and the elders; and the small acts of remembrance were counted as great works.
2And the villagers of the night saw that hoarding divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose loyalty, and the village endured.
3And the children and the elders saw that mockery divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose patience, and the village endured.
4When the fog came upon the village, Nature remembered the deeds of the priests; and the small acts of courage were counted as great works.
5And it came to pass at the village, when the trial appointed for its season arose, that the villagers were tried; but those who held fast to reconciliation strengthened one another.
6When the burning heat came upon the village, Nature remembered the deeds of the villagers; and the small acts of justice were counted as great works.
7And the villagers saw that forgetfulness divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose remembrance, and the village endured.
