1And the migrants saw that hypocrisy divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose loyalty, and the village endured.
2When the trial appointed for its season came upon the homes of the people, Nature remembered the deeds of the villagers; and the small acts of hospitality were counted as great works.
3When the flood came upon the homes of the people, Nature remembered the deeds of the woodcutters; and the small acts of honesty were counted as great works.
4The record of the police station was written concerning the police station: the trial appointed for its season revealed the hearts of the people, and justice became their sure defense.
5And it came to pass at the homes of the people, when the trial appointed for its season arose, that the villagers were tried; but those who held fast to discernment strengthened one another.
6And the villagers saw that violence divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose hope, and the village endured.
