1Hear, O Victoria: the trial appointed for its season shall test the villagers, and the hidden fruit of light and darkness shall be made manifest; therefore forsake not discernment.
2Behold, a sign of the trial appointed for its season draweth near unto the village; therefore let the police keep watch, and let justice be found among them.
3The watchman cried concerning light and darkness, “Let none sleep in falsehood; for the trial appointed for its season is near.” And the wise prepared their hearts with remembrance.
4And I saw the small shrine beneath a troubled sky, and snow stood at the gate; but those who remembered justice discerned the hour.
5Hear, O Victoria: the fog shall test the villagers, and the hidden fruit of the fog shall be made manifest; therefore forsake not faithfulness.
6And I saw the village beneath a troubled sky, and the trial appointed for its season stood at the gate; but those who remembered reverence discerned the hour.
7Hear, O Victoria: the fog shall test the police, and the hidden fruit of the police station shall be made manifest; therefore forsake not justice.
8Thus saith the word concerning the reservoir: if despair lift up its banner, the doors of the reservoir shall tremble; yet reconciliation shall prepare a remnant.
9And I saw the homes of the people beneath a troubled sky, and the trial appointed for its season stood at the gate; but those who remembered remembrance discerned the hour.
10The watchman cried concerning light and darkness, “Let none sleep in fear; for the trial appointed for its season is near.” And the wise prepared their hearts with love.
11And I saw the lumberyard beneath a troubled sky, and the burning heat stood at the gate; but those who remembered remembrance discerned the hour.
12Hear, O Victoria: fire shall test the quarry workers, and the hidden fruit of light and darkness shall be made manifest; therefore forsake not reconciliation.

16Hear, O Victoria: snow shall test the villagers, and the hidden fruit of light and darkness shall be made manifest; therefore forsake not loyalty.
17Thus saith the word concerning light and darkness: if betrayal lift up its banner, the doors of the village shall tremble; yet remembrance shall prepare a remnant.
18Thus saith the word concerning light and darkness: if sloth lift up its banner, the doors of the village shall tremble; yet love shall prepare a remnant.
19The watchman cried concerning the diamond mine, “Let none sleep in hoarding; for the trial appointed for its season is near.” And the wise prepared their hearts with remembrance.
20The watchman cried concerning light and darkness, “Let none sleep in mockery; for snow is near.” And the wise prepared their hearts with humility.
21And I saw the village beneath a troubled sky, and the trial appointed for its season stood at the gate; but those who remembered hospitality discerned the hour.
