1Brethren and sisters, remember the beginning; for faith without remembrance is an empty sound, and abundance without mercy is a locked storehouse.
2Let the villagers be steadfast in hope, especially in the day of the trial appointed for its season; for the covenant is proved not in ease, but in the care of one neighbor for another.
