1In the days of the first four people, the migrants gathered at the village; and though snow troubled the village, remembrance did not depart from those who remembered the covenant.
2And the villagers of the night saw that pride divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose loyalty, and the village endured.
3And the villagers of the night saw that violence divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose remembrance, and the village endured.
4In the days of the night workers, the villagers of the night gathered at the village; and though the trial appointed for its season troubled the village, honesty did not depart from those who remembered the covenant.
5And the villagers saw that envy divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose faithfulness, and the village endured.
6The record of the heart and mood was written concerning the village: the fog revealed the hearts of the people, and hospitality became their sure defense.
7And the villagers saw that mockery divided neighbors more swiftly than want; therefore they chose mercy, and the village endured.
8And it came to pass at the village, when the trial appointed for its season arose, that the villagers were tried; but those who held fast to humility strengthened one another.
9The record of the reservoir was written concerning the reservoir: the bitter cold revealed the hearts of the people, and remembrance became their sure defense.
