1Hear, O Victoria: fire shall test the villagers of the night, and the hidden fruit of rain and clear skies shall be made manifest; therefore forsake not reconciliation.
2Hear, O Victoria: the trial appointed for its season shall test the villagers, and the hidden fruit of rain and clear skies shall be made manifest; therefore forsake not hospitality.
3Thus saith the word concerning rain and clear skies: if violence lift up its banner, the doors of the village shall tremble; yet remembrance shall prepare a remnant.
4And I saw the village beneath a troubled sky, and the fog stood at the gate; but those who remembered remembrance discerned the hour.
5Thus saith the word concerning the small shrine: if indifference lift up its banner, the doors of the small shrine shall tremble; yet hospitality shall prepare a remnant.
6The watchman cried concerning rain and clear skies, “Let none sleep in betrayal; for the trial appointed for its season is near.” And the wise prepared their hearts with thanksgiving.
7Thus saith the word concerning rain and clear skies: if hardness of heart lift up its banner, the doors of the village shall tremble; yet love shall prepare a remnant.
8And I saw the residential quarter beneath a troubled sky, and the trial appointed for its season stood at the gate; but those who remembered remembrance discerned the hour.
